I very much want to share what I’ve learned about the promised Kingdom of heaven on Earth with you. To start with I am putting up this page. There is also a blog category called “Kingdom” where more information on this topic will reside, via Blog Posts.
Every world religion teaches the concept of a Divine realm of peace with justice being established on Earth.

This topic is beyond deep doctrinal parallels; it fulfills deep archetypal longings for justice, peace, and divine presence. Let’s walk through each religion and explore what concept might be spiritually or symbolically tantamount to Christendom’s “Kingdom of Heaven.”
Christianity: Kingdom of Heaven / Kingdom of God
- A divine realm both present and future—where God reigns, justice prevails, and the faithful are united in praise and worship.
- Often described as inaugurated through Christ’s teachings and fulfilled by the Second Coming.
Buddhism: Shambhala & Pure Land
- Shambhala: A hidden spiritual kingdom prophesied in the Kalachakra Tantra. Ruled by enlightened kings, it will emerge to defeat darkness and usher in a golden age.
- Pure Land (especially in Mahayana Buddhism): A paradise created by Amitabha Buddha where beings can be reborn and attain enlightenment more easily.
Hinduism: Nirvana / Moksha
- Nirvana/Moksha: Liberation from the cycle of rebirth (samsara), union with Brahman—the ultimate reality.
- It’s not a kingdom in the political sense, but a state of divine realization and eternal peace.
Native American Traditions: Spirit Realms & Harmony with the Cosmos
- Many tribes envision a sacred sky realm or spirit world where ancestors dwell and celestial beings guide the living.
- The “kingdom” is less centralized and more relational—harmony between nature, spirit, and community. Sometimes thought of as the “happy hunting grounds.”
Judaism: Olam Ha-Ba / Malkut Shamayim (Kingdom of Heaven)
- Olam Ha-Ba: “The World to Come”—a future age of peace, resurrection, and divine justice.
- Malkut Shamayim: The reign of God on Earth, often linked to messianic hope and spiritual submission.
Zoroastrianism: Frashokereti & Kshatra Vairya
- Frashokereti: The final renovation of the world—evil is vanquished, and all souls are reunited with Ahura Mazda.
- Kshatra Vairya: “Best Dominion”—a divine realm of truth and light, akin to heaven.
Islam: Jannah / Firdaus
- Jannah: Paradise—gardens beneath which rivers flow, eternal peace and divine pleasure.
- Firdaus: The highest level of Jannah, closest to God’s throne. Entry is based on faith, righteousness, and divine mercy.
Bahá’í Faith: Kingdom of God / Abhá Realm
- Kingdom of God: A spiritualized world with a just universal government made of a globally elected and representative body, working in unison and harmony with the Aghsan Guardian as its president. The world government revealed by Baha’u’llah (the return of Christ) is essentially a Democratic monarchy: a king (from David through Baha’u’llah) and a domain (God’s creation/Earth).
- Abhá Kingdom: The soul’s eternal journey toward divine perfection. Heaven and hell are states of proximity or remoteness from God that are experienced in this lifetime and taken with you eternally.
